Bluey Game Big Play: UK and Ireland Premiere Tour Cast Revealed

The highly anticipated UK and Ireland premiere tour of Bluey Game Big Play is set to kick off this December, produced by Andrew Kay and Cuff Taylor in collaboration with Windmill Theatre for BBC Studios. The stellar cast has been officially announced for this live stage production, bringing to life the beloved characters from the popular animated sitcom Bluey.

The stage production, which will run until summer 2024, includes a special residency over the festive season at the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall in London from December 20th to January 7th. The cast features the original voices from the TV show, with Dave McCormack and Melanie Zanetti lending their voices to the iconic characters Bandit and Chilli Heeler. The larger-than-life puppets will be skillfully operated by the talented stage cast.

The UK and Ireland tour cast includes Laura Raineri, Tess Oliver, and Shakira Alleyne as Bluey, while Miroe Fuches, Charlotte Rae, and Laura Hyde take on the roles of Bingo. Chilli will be portrayed by Helena Mitchell, Sophie Blythe, and Lucy Whitney, with Bandit played by Adam Ryan, Jon Godsi, and Aarod Vawser.

Directed by Rosemary Myers, the artistic director of Windmill Theatre, and designed by Jonathon Oxlade, the live production remixes favorite moments from the TV show and introduces a brand-new story by Bluey creator Joe Brumm, with a score composed by Joff Bush.

Bluey’s Big Play has already enjoyed success in Australia and the U.S., and the upcoming UK and Ireland tour is eagerly awaited by fans. The live production captures the essence of the TV series, combining humor, heartwarming moments, and interactive elements that make it a delightful experience for audiences of all ages.

This stage adaptation is a testament to the enduring popularity of Bluey, which has garnered critical acclaim and won several awards, including a 2022 BAFTA Children & Young People Award. The show’s success has extended beyond Australia, reaching international audiences through Disney Channel, Disney Junior, and Disney+.
